Long-time residents of Whitley and newcomers to the area are once again invited to the South Reading Churches Funday and it promises to be bigger and better than ever before!
The day of fun, food and entertainment takes place on Rabson's Rec next to South Reading Leisure Centre on a Saturday in July every year and brings together thousands of people from the local area for an action-packed family time. In 2013 somewhere in the region of 4,000 people ventured out to enjoy the events and activities on a sun-drenched Saturday afternoon and it is projected that even more will join up for the fun and games once more in 2014.
At the South Reading Churches Funday there is something for everyone to enjoy; climbing wall and bouncy castles, penalty shoot outs and BBQ, face painting and tug of war - events that run throughout the day. You can also expect to see fire service exhibitions, live music and more. If you simply want to relax and chat with friends there is plenty of space to do that too, while if there is something you'd like to pray for you can write a prayer at the prayer tent.
So when it comes around to the South Reading Churches Funday in 2014 it's time to join with the rest of the community for a day of fun; bring you children, your parents, your friends and your colleagues to this major annual Whitley event.
